Recent Work:

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time

February 27-March 8, 2020

I’m currently in rehearsals for the Connecticut Repertory Theatre’s production of The Curious incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.  This beautiful play was adapted by Simon Stephens and is based on the novel by Mark Haddon.  Our wonderfully passionate director is Kristin Wold with choreography by Marie Percy.  We’re very early in the process, but it’s been wonderful to watch this unique, ensemble piece take shape.  Also, starring as Judy in the play, is Broadway, TV, and Film veteran Margot White who is absolutely wonderful in the role!

Our Cartoon President (Showtime Television)

I may not have finished law school, but I still made it all the way to Chief Justice of the SCOTUS!!  Sort of...  I voice US Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts in Seasons 2 and 3 on the Showtime animated series Our Cartoon President, produced by Stephen Colbert. It’s a lot of fun recording these!

Chasing Rainbows, The Road to Oz started performances on September 26th at the Paper Mill Playhouse.  I played various characters throughout.  The show boasts a huge roster of up-and-coming, incredibly talented triple threat performers, as well as a few names and faces familiar to NY/NJ theater audiences.  It chronicles the early life of a Broadway/Film legend, Frances Gumm, as she worked her way to becoming the star we all knew her to be, Judy Garland and booking her iconic role as Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz.  A great story, great old songs, great singers and dancers, all stitched together under the guidance of Tony© nominated Director/Choreographer, Denis Jones!

The Code (Ep:Maggie’s Drawers) on CBS

Season 1 premiered Tuesday, April 9th at 9pm (EDT) on CBS.  I played Brigadier General Stern, USMC in its premiere season.

Waitress on Broadway

I dropped in from time to time to play the role of “Cal” along side its original star, Tony© Award winner, Jessie Mueller, and again later with Broadway alum Betsy Wolfe, and most recently American Idol and Smash star, Katherine McPhee.  The whole company was spectacular - Stephanie Torns is the go-to Jenna cover from the ensemble and is a star in her own right, as those audiences who’ve seen her when she’s taken over the role for weeks at a time well know.  I had a wonderful time in this beautiful show!

Drama Desk Award for the cast of Working:

The cast of Working at 59E59th St Theaters, produced by the Prospect Theater Company, and helmed by Gordon Greenberg(The Heart of Rock & Roll), was awarded a special Ensemble Award by the 2013 Drama Desk Committee.

“Outstanding Ensemble Performance: This year the nominators chose to bestow a special ensemble award to the cast of Working: A Musical. Marie-France Arcilla, Joe Cassidy, Donna Lynne Champlin, Jay Armstrong Johnson, Nehal Joshi, and Kenita R. Miller created a memorable ensemble of marvelously gifted singer-actors working together in pure artistic harmony. Individual cast members receiving this award are ineligible for acting awards in the competitive categories.”
